NORMAN, OKLA. – (June 8, 2010) – Johnson Controls, the global leader in delivering products, services and solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings, announces the appointment of two new brand managers for the company’s Unitary Products division: Steve Hoffins as York® brand manager and Mary Mocarski as Coleman® and Luxaire® brand manager.
In their positions, Hoffins and Mocarski are responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of marketing communications for their respective national residential and light-commercial heating, ventilation and air-conditioning (HVAC) brands. Both report to Andy Armstrong, director of marketing, Johnson Controls’ Unitary Products.
Hoffins comes to the York brand from the Building Efficiency Marketing & Communications group within Johnson Controls, where he led communications activity supporting the group’s Service Organization. He also worked with a variety of other groups within Building Efficiency and brings advertising, marketing and brand management experience in roles at Brunswick Corporation and several advertising agencies. Hoffins is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Madison, Wis., with a bachelor of science degree in advertising and mass communications.
Coleman and Luxaire welcome Mocarski from her previous position as senior marketing communications representative for Johnson Controls Global WorkPlace Solutions, where she developed marketing communications strategies and associated programs for assigned markets. She also worked in employee communications and public relations positions within the company and brings editorial and writing experience from previous positions with the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel and Wisconsin Gas Company. Mocarski holds a bachelor of arts degree in public relations and a master’s of business administration, both from Marquette University, Milwaukee.
