DAVENPORT, IOWA – (June 22, 2011) – Republic Company, a leading wholesale distributor of electrical, heating, air conditioning, hydronics, refrigeration and sign support systems, recently presented 14 dealers with its 2010 Dealer Awards during the company’s 95th Anniversary Dealer Summit, April 26-28. Each of the dealers represents the York® or Luxaire® brand of equipment from Johnson Controls, the global leader in delivering solutions that increase energy efficiency in buildings.
Guy Pauley, vice president, mechanical, of Davenport, Iowa-based Republic made the presentations, noting, “It gives all of us at Republic great pleasure to recognize the achievements of this remarkable group of people. Awards in four categories – 2010 Dealer of the Year, Excellence in Marketing, Outstanding Growth and Outstanding Dealer – were presented during an awards dinner April 27 at the Riverside Casino & Golf Resort, Riverside, Iowa.
Luxaire dealer Total Maintenance Inc., Bettendorf, Iowa, received the 2010 Dealer of the Year award. Criteria for the award included: exclusivity to the York or Luxaire brand; participation in Liberties Plus programs; strategic use of co-op funds; excellence in financial responsibilities; technical expertise; low warranty return; and purchases in fiscal year 2010.
The Excellence in Marketing award went to York dealer Ingersoll Plumbing & Heating Inc. As an exclusive York dealer, the Platteville, Wis., business earned this award through its participation in Liberties Plus programs as well as Liberties programs, including instant rebate, Dealer SPIFF, GE financing, the Marketing Action Center and Pricing Pro.
Republic recognized one dealer in each of three territories with its Outstanding Growth award:
• Western Territory – Independence Plumbing Heating & Cooling Inc., Independence, Iowa
• Northern Territory – Prier Brothers Inc., Dyersville, Iowa
• Eastern Territory – Doug’s Heating & Air Conditioning, Moline, Ill.
Each of the three dealers achieved the largest growth in purchases of York or Luxaire commercial and residential equipment in 2010.
Republic also presented Outstanding Dealer awards to the following businesses, based on purchases in fiscal 2010, participation in Liberties programs, financial responsibility, technical expertise, brand commitment and marketing:
