MILWAUKEE (April 16, 2012) – Johnson Controls, the global leader in building efficiency, has announced the following personnel appointment:
Melissa Marineau has been named director of marketing for Unitary Products. Marineau will report to Brian Hawthorne, vice president, sales and marketing, Unitary Products.
Marineau will be responsible for the overall implementation and development of short-range and long-term marketing and communications initiatives for Unitary Products, which includes the York®, Luxaire®, Coleman® and Fraser-Johnston® brands.
Marineau comes to Johnson Controls with extensive marketing experience including market research, product development, product management and global brand management. Most recently she held the position of senior global marketing manager at Abbott Laboratories, where she was responsible for product development, global market entry and strategy for four brands in the animal health market. Prior to Abbott, Marineau spent seven years in the professional power tool industry on both the DEWALT and Milwaukee brands in various marketing and product management roles.
Marineau has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Maryland and a bachelor's degree in economics from St. Mary’s College of Maryland.
